Fiona Gibson: Author.

I was building up courage drawing out in public places when I sketched this the year before lockdown. I’d always loved making art as a child and young adult – but family and career (I’m an author of romantic comedy novels) had forced me to push it aside.

We had recently moved from Biggar, in rural South Lanarkshire, to Glasgow. Sketching out and about was helping me to put down new roots in the city. Rogano – sadly now closed – was a favourite spot for a cocktail. But Glasgow is teeming with unexpected delights, and there’s something to sketch on every corner.
