I am based in Chicago but visited the UNESCO World Heritage site Kinderdijk in the South Holland Province of The Netherlands twice – once it was beautiful and sunny; the other time, rainy and gloomy. It was the latter scene that inspired the blues and shadows in this watercolour.
Besides utilizing watercolour, I experiment with poured fluid acrylic, collage, and ink to interpret the themes of spirituality and images inspired by the written word.
